18u40 – 19u20 WebXR – Augmented Reality on the web    The web has come a long way and is growing more powerful by the day. Did you know the web can do Virtual and Augmented Reality as well? Not only on the desktop or phone, but also on headsets like the Oculus Rift, the HTC Vive, and even Microsoft Mixed Reality. During the session, we‘ll have a look at what the web is capable of when it comes to Augmented Reality. The WebXR standard isn’t finished yet, but there are a number of great use cases already out there. Hopefully, we can end the presentation with a working example we built together. If you have seen JavaScript and HTML before you can follow along. Together we build an augmented reality application for the web.

19u20 – 20u00 Building your first WebVR ApplicationSince 2014 virtual reality on the web changed. Browser vendors started to work together to create a new standard and new frameworks arose. Although you can write WebGL and WebXR code directly, is far easier to use one of the frameworks like A-Frame or BabylonJS. In this talk, I’m going to show you how you can use the A-Frame framework to build WebVR applications. A-Frame uses a component-based structure and uses HTML markup to create 3D scenes. I’m going to give you an introduction to A-Frame and show you how you can set up a project, create your own components and, best of all, show you how you run it in VR. There’s not a lot of JavaScript experience needed to follow along with de demos. By the end of the presentation, I hope you are inspired and confident enough to start your own WebVR project with A-Frame.

20u20 – 21u00 Connecting multiple Aryzon AR/MR Headsets to one Microsoft HoloLensOften you see the HoloLens being connected to a 2D interface like a screen or beamer, giving no 3D experience to the other viewers. In many occasions multiple HoloLenses would be too expensive, yet the 3D experience remains important. Everyone an Aryzon Headset is feasible luckily! In development together with Microsoft-partner Breinwave it is possible to connect multiple Aryzon Headsets to one HoloLens. The HoloLens is in control of the 3D visualization, while every Aryzon user is able to explore the visualization from its own perspective, even over distance!
